This will depend on your employment. If you are moving and have a job and employment is continuous and there is no break some lenders may consider your application after a month but if you are looking for new employment and you are borrowing less than 80% of the value of the property they may consider you prior to 6 months in the position but if the borrowings are greater than 80% then you would have to wait at least 6 months before applying.

In order to borrow funds using you superannuation funds a self managed super fund SMSF needs to be set up. Costs associated in setting a SMSF can vary from $3,000 on average upwards. Lenders are now lending money to SMSF’s through a set up property trusts and trustee’s. Advice from lawyers and experts is required when pursuing these setups. most lenders will loan up to 80% so you will need to have enough funds in your superannuation fund to cover a cover 20% deposit and fees required to complete the purchase. Servicing needs to come from proposed rental income and Superannuation contributions.
